Permanent part-time  (0.8FTE)

Location: Hobart

Duties: As part of the conservation team provide specialist
technical services in the conservation and restoration of picture
frames, furniture and other items in the State collection; research
and construct period frames, decorative components and surface
finishes; create and maintain accurate records.

Essential Requirements: The Head of Agency has determined that the
person nominated for this position is to satisfy pre-employment
checks before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

The following checks are to be conducted: Conviction check; crimes
of violence; sex related offences; serious drug offences; crimes
involving dishonesty; identification check; disciplinary action in
previous employment check

Desirable Requirements:

    Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to the position
    Experience in an art gallery or museum environment
    Current drivers licence with the ability to operate manual
    vehicles
