Subject: Infilling glazed ceramic tiles
I am currently assessing two different outdoor sculptures with glazed ceramic tiles. One of the sculptures has modern artist-made stoneware tiles, while the other is Doulton and over 100 years old. Both have various losses, which have been badly infilled in the past. I am interested in hearing about what others have used to infill losses in tiles in an outdoor context. Also, if replacement tiles have been used instead how were these sourced?
