Conference themes:

    Conservation: conservation principles, environmental conditions,
    scientific analysis and diagnostics, mechanisms of degradation
    and conservation materials related to conservation of wall
    paintings and cave sites;

    History, archaeology and art historical research of Kizil
    paintings including results from archaeological excavations and
    written records.

Programme includes 3 days of presentations followed by 2-3 days of
site visits. Participants will register in Urumuqi and a bus will
take all participants to Kizil.

Conference languages: Chinese and English

Abstract deadline: 1 March 2011

Deadline for the submission of final manuscript: 6 August 2011

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to attend the
conference. Conference fees, local accommodation and transport
between Urumuqi and Kizil will be funded by the conference.
Participants will have to find their own funding for travel to
Urumuqi from their home institute.
