The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG) is the largest
museum and art gallery in Australia located outside a capital city
and is owned and operated by the Launceston City Council, with
continuing financial support from the Tasmanian State Government. It
enjoys an enviable reputation and national profile for its
collections of Australian colonial art, contemporary craft and
design, Tasmanian history and natural sciences.

Launceston City Council, an award winning Employer of Choice, is
currently seeking to fill the following position at the Queen
Victoria Museum and Art Gallery:

The Exhibitions team has a vacancy for a Conservator Paper and
Textiles, to implement programs for the conservation and
preservation of the works on paper and textiles collection of the
Museum--including during storage, display, loan and touring.

Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant
conservation area and experience in objects conservation treatments,
preferably with a major institution.

The salary range for this position will be negotiated with the
successful candidate and is expected to be within the range
$54,000-$62,000.
