Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship for Advanced Training Museum of Fine Arts, Boston The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston seeks applicants for the Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship for Advanced Training in paintings conservation. This two-year appointment begins in the fall of 2011 and may be extended for a third year. The collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, include a comprehensive range of paintings primarily from America and Europe. The Mellon Fellow will have the opportunity for in-depth examination and treatment of artworks and to participate in a wide range of conservation activities with conservators, conservation scientists, collections care specialists and curators. Fellows are encouraged to carry out a publishable research project. Applicants must have a master's degree (or equivalent) in paintings conservation from a recognized program. Compensation includes salary and travel allowance, in addition to a generous benefits package.
