"ARL Preservation Statistics"
PARS Forum, ALA Midwinter Conference 2011
San Diego Convention Center Room 30E
Sunday January 9, 2011
4 - 5:30 pm

What preservation statistics should we be collecting? What are
valuable to your institution? The PARS Forum topic for Midwinter
2011 is "ARL Preservation Statistics." These have been discontinued
while ARL undergoes investigation and restructuring. Now is YOUR
CHANCE to learn about what is being discussed, and to express your
interests and concerns directly to ARL. The Forum will take place on
January 9, 2011, 4-5:30 pm at the San Diego Convention Center, Room
30E. Speakers include:

    Brinley Franklin
University of Connecticut and ARL Past President

    Martha Kyrillidou
Senior Director, ARL Statistics and Service Quality Programs

    Gordon Fretwell
    Consultant to ARL's Statistics Program

Our speakers will provide a good picture of ARL's status on
collecting data on preservation. There will also be discussion of a
new task force to review all of the ARL statistics.

COME PREPARED. What is your experience collecting and using ARL
statistics for comparison or other purposes? What OTHER stats are
you collecting and why?

Hope you can make it,

Karen Brown
