Head of Paper Conservation
Head of Object Conservation
National Maritime Museum

It's an exciting time to join the National Maritime Museum. Not
least because we're driving through a range of high-profile
programmes including the new Sammy Ofer Wing, scheduled to open in
2012, but also because you will enjoy great autonomy. So you will
definitely need a focused strategic vision, as well as the ability
to lead teams and influence thinking at all levels.

Head of Paper Conservation
UKP30,000 - UKP37,000

With a busy programme of exhibitions planned, we need you to
take responsibility for looking after our extensive paper-based
collections (close to three million items). You'll also work
with our storage management team to develop a new archive store.
Strong people and project management skills are important, along
with proven experience in paper conservation.

Head of Object Conservation
UKP30,000 - UKP37,000

You'll be responsible for looking after our world-renowned 3-D
    object collections--including, scientific instruments, ship
models, flags, furniture, sculptures, and costumes. A
background in conservation management and a specialist knowledge
of at least one of the above areas are both essential, plus
experience of managing the handling of hazardous materials. A
good understanding of risk management is also important.
