International Conservation Projects Co-ordinator Department of Conservation and Scientific Research The British Museum London UKP28,532 - UKP35,453 per annum Fixed Term for 23 months The British Museum <URL:http://www.britishmuseum.org> is recruiting an International Conservation Projects Co-ordinator on a four year contract to lead the development of the conservation elements of this expanding programme. Recently the Museum has signed an agreement with the Tourism Development and Investment Company, Abu Dhabi to support them in the development of a new museum, the Zayed National Museum. You will play a major role in developing and providing all parts of the CSR contribution to this project. You will also oversee the development of conservation and scientific aspects of the Museum's African programmes as well as the many other international activities of the Department. You will be a fully qualified, experienced, practical conservator who has developed a national and perhaps international reputation in a specialist field. Your dynamism and leadership skills will be illustrated by management roles you have held and your success in these roles will reflect your excellent communication and negotiation abilities. This post will test your established organisational skills as you work with colleagues across the Museum and beyond. It will also give you an opportunity to further extend your history of outreach, both to the profession and wider audiences. You will be comfortable and flexible in dealing with different environments, people and situations, as might be expected of an international programme.
