Post Graduate Fellowship in Paintings Conservation
Intermuseum Conservation Association

The Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA)
<URL:http://www.ica-artconservation.org>, a regional not-for-profit
art conservation center established in 1952, is seeking a post
graduate conservation fellow for one year in paintings conservation.
The fellow will carry out examinations, project estimates and
conservation treatments on paintings under the supervision of the
staff conservators. Projects could involve anything from miniatures
to large scale murals. Most of the conservation work will take place
at the ICA facility but the fellow will most likely be given the
opportunity to do on site work such as surveys or conservation
treatment with the staff. In addition, collaborations with the other
conservation departments (objects, paper, textiles) are possible
given the complex nature of many projects.

Eligibility: Applicants must be graduates of an academic program for
conservation and preferably have one year of post graduate training.
Foreign applicants must have a J1 visa to work in the United States.

Terms: The fellowship is a full time position. The start date is
negotiable. Salary is $28,000.00 for twelve months with health and
vision benefits, paid holidays, sick days, and three weeks paid
vacation.

Applications: Applicants should submit a letter of intent, resume
and three references. A short portfolio containing no more than
three projects will be requested once an initial selection of
prospective fellows has been made. Completed application materials
are due by June 30, 2009.
