The Leather Conservation Centre (LCC), which is based in
Northampton, is a major international centre for leather
conservation, education and research. It offers a comprehensive
service in the conservation and restoration of leather objects of
historic, cultural and artistic importance.

The LCC is now looking to develop a new revenue stream in terms of a
conservation product for international markets and requires a
Product Development Manager who will, amongst other things, research
existing products and markets, develop and launch a superior
product, and also assist in setting down manufacturing and marketing
programmes. You will need to have a degree in chemistry,
biochemistry or a related science subject. An interest in or
understanding of conservation is desirable but not essential.

A flexible team player with the ability to work independently and
with good interpersonal skills, you will have the technical
aptitude, organisational skills and self-motivation to drive the
project through to a successful conclusion. You will also study for
a professional qualification in Management and be encouraged to
study for a research based higher degree linked to your KTP
activity.
