The most comprehensive study of paper degradation in different
climates of different kinds of paper, under different conditions of
use is in a book which draws on the experiences of several military
and other entities from the Second World War and after edited by
Glen A. Greathouse and Carl J. Wessel, Deterioration of Materials:
Causes and Preventive Techniques, Reinhold, New York, 1954.
