Full-Time Exhibition Technician

Grade 4: UKP19,645.00- UKP22,765 per annum
Fixed-Term contract until 1 March 2011

This post will provide technical support for the Bodleian Library's
programme of displays, exhibitions and loans including mounting,
framing, making supports for books and other library objects,
handling, moving, installing library objects (including portraits).

The postholder will initially be based in the New Bodleian Library
but will work in all parts of the Library and may have to work in
other OULS libraries. Applicants should have a good general
education and experience of handling fragile objects. Museum
standard training and experience in art handling and at least 1
year's experience of providing technical assistance in a museum,
gallery or similar environment would be desirable.
