The Sheridan Libraries, Department of Conservation and Preservation
seeks a Full Time Conservation Services Coordinator.  The Department
of Conservation and Preservation is responsible for a broad range of
activities from exhibition preparation, digitization, conservation
of special collections and general collections materials, and
collaborating in conservation science research.

The Conservation Services Coordinator's responsibilities will be
equally divided between providing project support for the Heritage
Conservation Science Project and conservation liaison support for
the workflow of the conservation department.   This individual will
report directly to Sonja Jordan-Mowery, Director for Conservation
and Preservation and PI for the Project.

    *   Grant Project Responsibilities include:

    *   Administrative support for the project

    *   Operational liaison for members of the Project Team

    *   Disseminating information to national and international
        graduate programs, industry, professional associations and
        research partners

    *   Operational support for post-doc and senior conservator

    *   Conservation Department Responsibilities include:

    *   Operational support for special collections conservation
        workflow in the Department

    *   Provides administrative support for the Director

    *   Coordinates General Collections Preservation Assessment

    *   Liaison's with Digitization Section

    *   Leads the Disaster Planning and Recovery Team

    *   Assists with Exhibition Installation

    *   Assists in training of staff and interns.

Qualifications:

    Master's Degree in related field
    Minimum 2 years conservation bench experience
    Demonstrated knowledge of conservation and preservation issues
    1 year office or project management experience
    Strong written and oral communication skills
    Strong problem solving skills and organizational skills
