Course on preventive conservation

The University of Applied Sciences Berlin (FHTW), class of
conservation and restoration offers a basics course on preventive
conservation, running from April - May 2009.

'Principles of preventive conservation' focuses on the basics of
preventive conservation knowledge, as well as on current
developments in disaster planning and risk management. Main topics
include the whole facet of environmental factors, storage
organisation, transportation as well as presentation and mounting.

Lectures will take place on campus at the University of Applied
Sciences Berlin, also excursions will be held at Berlin's city
centre museums. Contents will be presented through lectures -
exercises and teamworking will complete the sessions.
