The Users' Group for Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography (MaSC) is
pleased to announce the following updates in relation to the
forthcoming 4th MaSC Workshop and Meeting to be held at the National
Gallery and British Museum, London from 31 March - 3 April 2009. For
further details of the workshop and meeting please see

We are delighted to announce that Professor Richard Brereton of the
Centre of Chemometrics, University of Bristol and author of
Chemometrics : Data Analysis for the Laboratory and Chemical Plant,
Applied Chemometrics for Scientists and Chemometrics for Pattern
Recognition has agreed to speak at the MaSC workshop. Professor
Brereton will introduce the fundamentals of chemometrics, focusing
particularly on methods applicable to the analysis of
chromatographic and mass spectral data in the field of cultural
heritage.

Registration fees for the workshop and meeting have now been
finalised. Unfortunately it has not proved possible to reduce the
fees and these are now set at UKP200 for the workshop and UKP130
(UKP70 for students) for the meeting.

Details of how to make payment for the meeting and the workshop
(once the final participant list has been announced) via the British
Museum box office will be available on the MaSC website
<URL:http://www.mascgroup.org/meetings.html> later this week.
Updated information about accommodation, venue etc will also be
uploaded shortly.

Can we also take this opportunity to remind you that the closing
date for the workshop and for the submission of abstracts for the
meeting is 16 February 2009.

submit an abstract for the meeting, we encourage you to register for
the meeting as soon as possible.

Further details of the programme and other information will be
circulated shortly and uploaded
