The Corning Museum of Glass <URL:http://www.cmog.org> in Corning,
NY, with its internationally renowned collection offered the ICOM-CC
WG 'Glass and Ceramics' to host its next Interim Meeting 2010,
following the successful meeting in Nova Gorica 2007. The WG
accepted this invitation for their International Conference on Glass
and Ceramics Conservation during its meeting in New Delhi 2008 with
delight.

The arrival day (3 Oct) will be followed by 3 days with an intensive
programme of lectures and tours. Contributions may cover all aspects
of the conservation of glass, ceramics and related materials, eg.

    conservation projects and practice
    conservation science
    materials science or history of objects as related to
    conservation
    conservation training

We are looking forward to submissions by all conservators,
conservation scientists and curators in the field independent of
their membership status. The oral contributions will be published in
Preprints. Therefore, strict adherence to the following timeline is
mandatory:

Please send abstracts (Title, authors' names, address of
corresponding author including e-mail, ca 300 words abstract text)
until 15 September 2009 per e-mail to the Preprint Editor

Abstracts will then be reviewed by the programme committee
consisting of the (assistant) coordinators of the WG and Stephen
Koob (CMoG) as local organizer. Successful authors will notified
until 15 October 2010.

Full papers (max. 4000 words, 8 figs.) are due until 4 January 2010
at the latest.

The Interim Meeting will be followed by an experts' meeting on
enamel on metals conservation at the Frick in New York City
<URL:http://www.frick.org/>, 8-9 October 2010

Papers with this topic should be delivered there, send abstracts to
ENAMEL coordinator Agnes Gall-Ortlik, gallortlik<-at->yahoo<.>fr.

When making your travel plans, please note that the Interim Meeting
of the ICOM-CC WG 'Metals' will be held from 11-15 October 2010 in
Charleston, SC: Another reason for visiting the US East Coast in
October 2010.
