Chief Conservator The Cincinnati Art Museum The Cincinnati Art Museum <URL:http://www.cincinnatiartmuseum.org> seeks nominations and submissions for the position of chief conservator in the Curatorial Affairs Division. Responsibilities: The chief conservator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the work of the departmental staff, contract conservators and interns. The chief conservator should also demonstrate leadership in the conservation profession and seek to enhance the Art Museum's reputation through participation in the field. Requirements: Masters Degree from a recognized art conservation-training program with a minimum of seven years of experience in museum conservation. The chief conservator must have a demonstrated knowledge of the diverse factors that influence the preservation of works of art as well as the ability to work collaboratively with trustees, donors, volunteers and staff. The chief conservator should possess strong management, organizational and planning abilities, excellent speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills, and have a good knowledge of computing and budgeting.
