Mr. Dan Paterson, Senior Book Conservator, and Ms. Cyntia Karnes,
Senior Paper Conservator, both of the Library of Congress
Conservation Division, will discuss two notable recent projects: the
study and treatment of a book with an unexpected sewing structure
from the Thomas Kane collection in the African and Middle East
Division, and the analysis and treatment of three large-format movie
posters from the silent film era from the Prints and Photographs
Division.

The Topics in Preservation Series lectures are free and open to the
