The Western and Northern Service Centre of the Parks Canada Agency
is a network of professional and technical expertise established to
support National Parks, National Historic Sites and National Marine
Conservation Areas in Western and Northern Canada in the protection
and presentation of cultural and natural resources.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Conservator II conducts
conservation treatments on a wide range of textile and organic
artifacts from national historic sites and parks in Western and
Northern Canada. Duties also include preparation of artifacts for
exhibits, learning resources and storage. Fieldwork involves site
visits to assess artifact and environmental conditions. The
Conservator II develops and delivers basic conservation training to
site staff, provides advice, and writes technical reports and
papers.
