Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA)

Summary of Function: The Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA)
<URL:http://www.ica-artconservation.org>, a regional not-for-profit
art conservation center established in 1952, is seeking a highly
skilled objects conservator to join our conservation lab located on
the Westside of Cleveland, just minutes from downtown.

The objects conservator will be required to carry out examinations
and conservation treatments on a variety of objects including
ceramics, glass, stone, metals, plaster, and plastic; and to assist
in the preservation planning for the object collections of the ICA's
more than ninety institutional and private members.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have a Master's Degree in
Art Conservation specializing in Objects Conservation from a
recognized training program, preferably with three (3) years
post-graduate conservation experience in the field; however, all
levels of post-graduate training may be considered.  The candidate
will have the ability to work independently, and as part of a team;
possess an excellent knowledge of conservation principles,
practices, materials, and techniques; and possess knowledge of
health and safety practices.  Applicants should already possess a
U.S. work authorization.
