Fellowship at Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA)

The Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA), a regional
not-for-profit art conservation center established in 1952, is
seeking a Post-Graduate Conservation Fellow in our objects
conservation lab located on the Westside of Cleveland, just minutes
from downtown.  The fellow will assist our objects conservators to
carry out examinations and conservation treatments on a variety of
objects including ceramics, glass, stone, metals, plaster, and
plastic; and assist in the preservation planning for the object
collections of the ICA's ninety-four institutional and private
members.

Eligibility: Applicants must either be graduates or currently
enrolled in a graduate program leading to an advanced degree in
Objects Conservation.  Must be authorized to work in the United
States or J1 Visa may be provided if eligible.

Terms: The Post-Graduate Conservation Fellowship is full-time.  The
start date is negotiable and may be extended for a second year.
Grant amounts are $25,000 for twelve months. The fellow is
encouraged to carry out a research project for which a $2,500
research stipend and two weeks paid research leave are provided. The
grant includes health and vision benefits, paid holidays, sick days,
two weeks paid vacation.

Applicants should submit letter of intent, resume, three references,
and a short portfolio containing no more than three projects.
Completed application materials are due by December 15, 2007.

All applicants will be notified of the ICA's decision by January 15,
2007.
