National Museums Liverpool are seeking suitable people for the
following two vacancies:

Inorganic Conservator
National Conservation Centre, Liverpool
Salary UKP18,287 - UKP20,225
(appointment will be at the minimum of the scale)

Fixed Term until 31 March 2008

    The National Conservation Centre has an opportunity for an
    inorganic objects conservator to undertake practical
    conservation work on a range of ceramics, glass and metal
    materials for a major new Egypt gallery.

    Reporting to the Senior Conservators in the Ceramics and Glass
    Conservation Section and the Metals Conservation Section, you
    must be able work independently and efficiently to deadlines,
    with the minimum of supervision and to a consistently high
    standard.

    A recognised conservation qualification relevant to inorganic
    objects, specifically ceramics, glass and metals is essential
    and museum experience is desirable.

Organic Conservator

Salary UKP18,287 - UKP20,225 pa

Fixed term contract until 31 March 2008

    The National Conservation Centre has an opportunity for an
    organic objects conservator to undertake practical conservation
    work on a wide range of materials for a major new Egypt gallery.

    Reporting to the Senior Organics Conservator, you must be able
    work independently and efficiently to deadlines, with the
    minimum of supervision and to a consistently high standard.

    A recognised conservation qualification relevant to organic
    objects is essential, as is practical experience of working on
    organic objects. Experience of working in a museum environment
    would be desirable.
