Pottery Project Conservators Arizona State Museum University of Arizona The Arizona State Museum at The University of Arizona is seeking applicants to fill two grant funded project conservator positions. Duties and Responsibilities: These positions will contribute to the documentation, conservation stabilization, rehousing, and exhibition of the Southwest Pottery collection. The work will collaboratively involve the Museum's conservation, collection management, exhibit staff and students. Required Education, Experience and Skills: Graduate degree in art conservation or equivalent experience with object specialization. Demonstrated experience conducting condition assessments and writing technical reports. Demonstrated experience in performing conservation treatments on pottery. Preference will be given to applicants who have working experience and interest in treatments to stabilize and conduct technical studies for anthropological collections. The ability to establish priorities, achieve goals and meet project deadlines is important. Salary is commensurate with experience.
