Madder lake

I am looking for recipes--ingredients, proportions, steps--or
references to recipes for making madder lake pigment.  So far, I
have found one, which seems good, at
<URL:http://www.rubioviolins.com>, but welcome any other suggestions
or tips, especially if you have ever made it yourself. There is also
a relatively detailed description of the process in "The Chemistry
of Paints and Painting" by A.H. Church, M.A., F.R.S. (Seeley and Co.
Ltd., London, 1890).
