The National Archives is at the heart of information policy and is
the UK government's official archive, containing 900 years of
history from Domesday Book to the present day.

The National Archives is seeking to appoint an experienced and
motivated Paper Conservator (archives) eager to take this
opportunity to help strengthen and develop the conservation section
of the Collection Care Department to serve the future needs of The
National Archives.

You will have a recognised qualification and relevant professional
experience beyond initial training. The appointee will carry out a
range of conservation treatments on archival records dating from the
13th century to the present, bringing both excellent practical
skills and a thoughtful approach to delivery.

Other duties will include: self-management to plan and organise
work, documentation, participate in the varied activities of the
department including project work, and training initiatives. You
will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a willingness
to communicate this both internally and a wider community.

The National Archives supports continue professional development and
will encourage the post holder towards professional accreditation.
