As previously announced the British Museum is holding a meeting
entitled "Holding it all together; ancient and modern approaches to
joining, repair and consolidation" in Feb 2008. The aim of this
meeting is to bring together conservators, scientists and curators
with an interest in the methods by which artefacts have been
manufactured, repaired (both in antiquity and modern times) and
conserved by joining together a series of components, using such
techniques as gluing, casting, soldering, luting, etc

Session titles for this conference have now been announced and the
deadline for the submission of abstracts extended to 14 September
2007
