Initial 12 month fixed term contract
37 hours per week

Your role will be to lead on the implementation and improvement of
preventative conservation measures within Plymouth City Museums and
Art Gallery.  Your key objectives will be to support storage
improvement, decant, redisplay and environmental monitoring and
control projects.  You will also be expected to assist with staff
training, object packing and mounting.  You will have three years
experience of working in the field of preventative conservation
within a museum environment.  You should be able to demonstrate both
excellent practical and communication skills.

As a partner in the South West Regional Museum Hub, Plymouth City
Museum and Art Gallery faces an exciting time ahead. This is an
excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a valuable
contribution to the development of the service.  In the first
instance, this post is offered as a 12 month contract, contract
extension subject to successful further funding.
