Soluble nylon

I am a student at the Institute of Archaeology, University College
London, currently completing my first year of the MSc in
Conservation for Archaeology and Museums.  For my dissertation, I'm
interested in assessing and re-evaluating soluble nylon as a
consolidant for vegetable fibres, with a focus on objects made with
raffia elements.  During the middle of April this year, I put up a
topic on the Cons DistList regarding soluble nylon.  However, I have
since run into trouble trying to locate a supplier or samples of
soluble nylon. Does anyone's department still have this consolidant
and if so could I please have a sample?  Or, can anyone direct me to
a supplier--I'm not sure if it is even still produced.
