IADA Congress

50th anniversary of IADA

The International Association of Book and Paper Conservators (IADA)
is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the upcoming international
congress in Vienna, 17-21 September 2007.

About 50 speakers from 20 countries will present recent developments
in the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage on paper
and related materials. More than 10 European Paper Conservation
Training schools will report on current student projects. During the
congress, an interdisciplinary colloquium will focus on historic
wall papers. Please note that participation at all evening
receptions and the gala dinner are included in the conference fee.

is possible until 30 June 2007. IADA members, students and
participants from Eastern European countries pay a reduced fee.

There will be a creche for small children for the duration of the
conference, if uptake is sufficient. Please let the organiser know
