Arqadia acquires Conservation By Design

Arqadia, the UK's leading supplier of mouldings and mountboard to
the art and framing market has today announced the acquisition of
conservation storage, equipment and display specialists,
Conservation By Design Limited.

Part of the Larson Juhl group, Arqadia offers an extensive range of
mouldings, frames and mountboards and continuously strives to set
new industry standards.  Its dominant market position has been
achieved through continued commitment to exceptional design,
competitive pricing and a professional, friendly service.

Conservation By Design offers a comprehensive range of high quality
conservation storage and display products, including acid free
boxes, specialist papers and museum boards, to museums, libraries
and archives worldwide.  The company also offers a growing range of
specialist equipment and display furniture, including the Planorama
aluminium storage drawer system and are one of the leading suppliers
of Museum Showcases.  Recent museum showcase projects include the
Magna Carter display at The British Library in London and the FA Cup
Trophy at the National Football Museum in Preston.

The two companies will continue to be run as independent businesses,
but both will be headed by Arqadia's Managing Director, Mike Brown.
Stuart Welch, who founded Conservation By Design in 1992, will
remain at the company as Development Director.
