Conservation Librarian/Rare Book and Paper Conservator
Special Collections Research Center
Syracuse University Library

Due to an error on our part, the minimum number of years of post
graduate experience for the Conservation Librarian position at
Syracuse should be 7 years, not the 10 indicated. A corrected
version of the "Required Qualifications" is below.

Required Qualifications: MLS with specialization in book and paper
conservation, master's degree in conservation with specialization in
book and paper conservation, or a bachelor's degree and a comparable
equivalent combination of experience earned through study at a
program such as the North Bennet Street School or 2-year (minimum)
apprenticeship with a qualified conservator. A minimum of 7 years
progressively responsible post graduate professional experience
working in an academic library or other institutional environment or
as a conservator in private practice.
