translation)

Deadline for abstract submission: July 2, 2007

Content:

The intent of this international conference is to gather specialists
involved in preventive conservation. Special emphasis will be given
to contributions presenting problems that eastern and southeastern
European countries are facing, the solutions envisaged, and the
results achieved through preventive conservation. The conference
will offer opportunities for round table discussions on these
issues. Professionals from all over the world are invited to share
their experiences.

This call is an invitation for papers and posters related to the
following topics: agents of deterioration and treatment options,
collections in storage, on display, and in transit, risk assessment
and mitigation, disaster planning, international activities in PC
(conferences, training possibilities), ongoing European PC research
projects, or issues related to the above.

Abstracts of 300-500 words in English should be submitted to Marta
Guttmann <marta.guttmann [at] muzeulastra__ro> before July 2, 2007.
Submission of completed papers is optional.

Venues, draft programs, final conference program and fees, related
publications, etc. will soon be available at

Estimated conference fees (fees also include coffee breaks and
working lunches):

    75 Euros before August 15, 2007
   100 Euros after August 15, 2007
    20 Euros for conservation students

We would like to remind you that the city of Sibiu (together with
Luxembourg) is the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2007. This may be
an additional incentive to participate in the conference.
