The Art Gallery of Western Australia is seeking a dynamic individual
to plan and implement a program for the conservation and treatment
of objects to support the Gallery's programs, maintenance and
protection of the State Art Collection. This exciting opportunity is
a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.

The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in
conservation of cultural materials with a speciality in objects
conservation, or practical equivalent experience working in the
heritage industry. A thorough knowledge of conservation analysis,
treatment and the preservation of objects with a proven ability to
adapt standard techniques and practices to facilitate new treatments
and procedures is also required. Demonstrated ability to apply sound
professional knowledge to perform and manage preventive maintenance
tasks and disaster recovery programs. You will be required to
participate in the development of self managed teams and promote the
Art Gallery of Western Australia's organisational values. For a full
