Administrivia

With the close of the AIC annual meeting, the DistList completes its
20th year of operation.  This is measured in "DistList years" as the
annual publication cycle begins with the AIC Annual Meeting (because
that's where the DistList was first announced, back in 1987. Since
this year the meeting was held a few months earlier than usual the
"DistList year" is a few month shy of 20 "real" years, but who
cares? If you're curious about any of the history, see

For those who find such things interesting, the DistList now
comprises more than 8400 people from at least 87 countries.
