Book and Manuscript Conservator (Temporary contract) Trinity College, Dublin Applications are invited for the following Conservator post in Trinity College Library: Book and Manuscript Conservator (Temporary contract). This full-time appointment will be for one year initially, and subject to satisfactory performance, with the possibility for a further one year. The successful candidate will work on collections from the Early Printed Book and Manuscripts Department. They will participate in planning preservation strategies and will establish treatment priorities in consultation with the Keeper of Preservation and Conservation and the Keepers of collections. Work tasks include collection surveys, documentation and conservation, and display of collections. The candidate may also participate in the preparation and presentation of in-house courses on preservation and conservation topics for Library staff. Applicants for this position must be graduates of book conservation programmes and have at least two years experience in the field of book conservation. This is a temporary position.
