Scholarship Announcement for Montefeascone Book Conservation
Summer School 2007

A Scholarship has been offered by Conservation By Design for an
individual to attend a unique course, to share knowledge and love of
precious books and bookbinding in the picturesque Italian town of
Montefiascone

The scholarship is offered in memory of Dr Nicholas Hadgraft a
good friend of Conservation By Design Ltd (CXD), who died in 2004,
at a young age. Nicholas was a research Fellow of the University of
the Arts London. and a well liked and hugely respected professional
in his field. He was a key collaborator on the "Squelch Drying"
technique devised by CXD after a flood at the Founders Library of
the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge proving to be the best way to date
of drying valuable rare books and recently used after the
devastating floods in Prague.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that application forms are
now available for the 3rd Conservation By Design Limited "Nicholas
