Retouching Complex Surfaces

The third in a series of one-day symposia dedicated to current
retouching methods will focus on complex surfaces. The day is to
comprise a morning of lectures and in the afternoon there will be
the exciting opportunity to take part in a practical workshop as
well as the chance to see demonstrations by experts in the field.
The event has been jointly organised by the BAPCR and ICON.

Morning Lectures:

    Oriana Sartiani and Leonardo Severini
    Opificio delle Pietre Dure e Laboratori di Restauro
    "An unusual case of integration and his solutions"

    Laurent Sozzani
    Rijksmuseum
    "Pushing the border of Retouching and Reconstruction: can enough
    ever be too much?"

    Stig Evans
    "The use of a portable spectrophotometer for retouching" (also
    demonstration)

    Patricia Smithen and Peter Koneczny
    "Paraloid B72 Gels as media for retouching" (also workshop)

Afternoon Workshops: All delegates will have the opportunity to take
part in a one hour workshop, presented by Peter Koneczny and Stuart
Sanderson, where they can experience and try out several types of
gel media on different surfaces. There will also be the opportunity
to observe various demonstrations, ask questions on an informal
basis and visit the trade fair.

The Conference fee will include the programme, conference notes and
materials for the workshop. Tea and coffee will be provided but not
lunch. Used samples from the afternoon demonstration are available
for purchase after the conference has ended. Full Gel sets will also
be available for sale. We are unable to accept credit cards.
