The Department of Preservation and Collection Maintenance at Cornell
University, Ithaca, NY, is seeking applications for a Preservation
Assistant for the Graphics Conservation Laboratory.

The candidate will assist in the preparation of and during a series
of preventive care workshops, organizing and maintaining
conservation documentation and materials, monitoring the lab's
environmental conditions, and performing supervised preventive
conservation and treatment of works on paper.


    Bachelor's degree with 6 months to 1 year of experience or
    equivalent combination.

    Good organization skills, excellent eye-hand dexterity and
    concentration, a strong interest or background in preservation
    of historic or artistic works.

    Computer and digital photography skills.

    Ability to work independently and good communication and
    interpersonal skills.


    One or more years of experience in conservation or preservation
    of works on paper, an interest in further study in conservation,
    or be a graduate of conservation training or museum studies
