Fallon and Wilkinson, LLC

Fallon and Wilkinson LLC is seeking a full-time entry level
furniture conservator to join their staff. The firm specializes in
the conservation of wooden artifacts and the reproduction of
furniture for museums, historic houses and private clients.

The successful candidate should be highly motivated, have excellent
hand skills, and be able to work independently or with a team of
conservators. The candidate will treat American, European, and Asian
furniture from various time periods with multiple surface decoration
techniques. Possession of analytical skills, such as microscopic
wood identification and cross-sectional analysis is recommended.
Knowledge of modern conservation practice and safety standards is
important. In addition, the candidate should have excellent
organizational skills, including written documentation and digital
photography.

The preferred candidate will have a degree from a recognized
conservation training program with a minimum of three years
experience or the equivalent.

Salary will be commensurate with the abilities of the successful
candidate.
