Department of Conservation
Conservator [Technical Grade E]
Salary Scale: UKL16,871 - UKP18,986

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced conservators
for a full-time permanent appointment to work on the conservation of
artefacts from ethnographic and historical sources. The Museum has
designated status and collections of international importance.

The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification in
conservation, with particular emphasis on organic conservation, and
wide range of relevant experience. Other key attributes are: a
proven ability to meet deadlines, enthusiasm and a flexible approach
to work; a full driving licence would be an advantage. The post
offers the opportunity to become involved in the long-term
development plans for the reserve collections.

Travel expenses within the UK only, will be paid. The requirements
of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 make it extremely unlikely
that we would be able to obtain work permit for this post.
Therefore it is anticipated that candidates will be able to produce
evidence of eligibility to work in the EC.
