Subject: Efflorescence on modern monochromatic prints
The following is posted on behalf of Annegret Philipsen, student in the field of conservation I am working on the problem of efflorescence of fatty acids on Donald Judd prints (woodcuts). Has anyone had contact with this problem and tried any methods to reduce "blooming"? Did the applied methods have showed any results (other than foreseen) after treatment or some time later? Did blooming occur again after a while and then probably to a greater extent? Any information on this problem would be appreciated.
