Subject: Lecture on Japanese papermaking
On Wednesday, December 6, at 6:00 pm the Potomac Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers will present a video and lecture on Japanese Papermaking by Lauren Pearlman. Ms. Pearlman is the president of Paper Connection International, Providence, RI, and will be in the mid-Atlantic area the first week in December. The lecture will be held in the Board Room of the Folger Shakespeare Library, 201 East Capitol Street, S.E., Washington, D.C. Admission is free to chapter members; there is a $5.00 charge for non-members. Seating is limited to 35 places, so please reserve with the Folger Conservation Lab staff at 202-675-0332. On the previous evening, Tuesday, December 5th, at 5:30 pm, the Bayly Art Museum in Charlottesville, Virginia, will sponsor Ms. Pearlman's talk on the Art of Japanese Papermaking, which will be held in Room 160 of Campbell Hall on the campus of the University of Virginia.
