Plenderleith Memorial Lecture

The Scottish Society for Conservation and Restoration invites you to
its annual lecture dedicated to the memory of the conservation
pioneer, Harold Plenderleith on Thursday 30 November. This year,
John McKintyre OBE, the recently retired Head of Preservation at the
National  Library of Scotland, will be presenting a talk entitled
'Reflections on  Change'. The lecture will reflect on a career of
nearly forty years in library and archive conservation, focusing on
the many developments that the speaker has observed and been
involved in. The venue is the lecture theatre at the National
Library of  Scotland Causewayside Building, Edinburgh (opposite
Historic Scotland ). The doors will open at 7.00pm, with the lecture
due to commence at 7.45pm. Tickets are UKP5.00 (UKP3.50 for SSCR
members), available on the door. The entry fee includes buffet food
and wine.
