Applications are invited from  experienced and qualified
conservators to join the National Archives of Scotland (NAS)
Conservation Unit--working in a team of 8 conservators on the full
range of collections held by NAS. The appointment is for a fixed
term of 2 years with possibility of extension or permanency.
Applications from candidates who wish to work part-time or on a
job-share basis will be considered. Starting salary will be in the
range of 16,912 to 21,023 pounds sterling with an opportunity to
earn further performance related increases up to a total salary of
24,282 pounds sterling. Salary will be pro rata for part-time.
Salaries are currently under annual review.

You must have a diploma or a degree in book or archive and paper
conservation. Appropriate practical experience is desirable. Travel
and subsistence expenses incurred during the selection process are
the responsibility of the applicant. Candidates who are likely to
have difficulty in attending an interview in Edinburgh should
enquire about video conferencing facilities.
