Conservation Science at Eastern Analytical Symposia: 2000 update and 2001 call for proposals and papers The New York Conservation Foundation and Eastern Analytical Symposium conservation science papers sessions at the 2000 EAS will take place on October 30 and 31, 2000 in Atlantic City, NJ, USA. One day's focus is biodeterioration, the other is laser cleaning. See below for the NYCF web site with the full 2000 schedule of conservation science papers, and EAS web site and phone number for information on EAS 2000 registration and housing. Special support this year came from the National Park Service NCPTT. Now the New York Conservation Foundation is organizing the 2001 EAS two-day conference: three sessions of papers on conservation science research and collaborations between conservation scientists and restorers in the area of paper conservation, including books and archival materials as well as artworks. A fourth session is dedicated to general interest presentations by young (early-career) investigators. The conference will be part of the 2001 Eastern Analytical Symposium, October 31-November 4, 2001 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. We would like to hear soon from those willing and able to either help organize a session of papers and serve as session chairpersons, and/or to present papers on their own very current work.
