It is the leading national body for professional conservators, and seeks to promote the highest standards of conservation by encouraging research and information exchange in order to preserve the national historic and artistic heritage. The Executive Officer will provide organisational coherence and dynamic development in a rapidly changing sector. The Role: Responsible to the Chairman and Council for the direction of the organisation and the management of rapid change and growth. Responsible for the implementation of strategic and operational planning objectives to enable the organisation to remain at the forefront of its field, whilst further developing relations with other agencies within the sector. To continue developing the organisation's activities, enhancing its profile and expanding its income. The Candidate: An effective organiser with a demonstrated ability to manage and co-ordinate members' voluntary work programmes. A strong communicator, both written and oral, able to enthuse others with fresh thinking.
