Subject: Exhibition barriers
Te Papa's conservation section is re-evaluating the museum's exhibition barriers. The project is being put out to local young designers to create a new barrier design. The design guidelines are that the barriers must 1) keep collections safe 2) keep visitors safe 3) be visually unobtrusive 4) are re-usable. There does not appear to be very much published on the subject. Does anybody know of any published material on barriers and barrier design ?
