National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside has a couple of hundred
long, narrow used crates which need to be disposed of. They were
purchased this year for the transport of antiquities and ethnology
collections from one store to another.

The crates are of 'U' construction heavy duty cardboard, samples of
which performed well in Oddy tests. Dimensions:  203mm x 305mm, with
lengths 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, 3.5m, and 4m. They are ideal for the packing
of spears, paddles, guns, bows or rolled textiles.

They are now a little shabby looking, with marker pen inscriptions
and bits of sticky tape stuck to them, but they are intact and still
as strong as when new. They originally cost between 8 and 17 pounds
sterling each--but you can have them very very cheap if you can take
any off our hands soon!
