Preservation and Conservation Issues Related to Digital Printing
Institute of Physics, London
October 26-27, 2000

Fast evolving technology has led to digitally printed material
entering archives, libraries and fine art galleries in increasing
amounts. Consequently, there is growing interest among archivists,
librarians, curators and conservators in the long-term stability and
preservation of this type of material.

This is a two day conference, organised jointly by the Institute of
Physics and The London Institute (Camberwell College of Arts and the
London College of Printing) with the following aims:

    * to inform those responsible for the preservation of
        digitally printed material about the process and
        developments of this invasive technology;

    * to explore the impact of digital print on preservation and
        conservation issues;

    * to forge links between industry, research and the
        preservation world.

The meeting will be held at the Institute of Physics in central
London. Registration and full programme details may be found on the
Institute of Physics' web site:
