Subject: Lecture on FTIR for pest control
The Textile Conservation Group Inc. is sponsoring a lecture on June 6, 2000 at 6:00 PM at the Conservation Center, 14 East 78th Street, New York City. The speaker will be Sandra Sardjono, a third-year student at the Conservation Center, Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. Ms Sardjono's lecture is entitled "Detecting the presence of hidden infestation and assessing the effectiveness of insect eradication treatment using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)." Ms Sardjono is currently interning at the Cooper-Hewitt--Smithsonian National Design Museum in New York City. This is an open meeting and all interested persons are invited to attend.
